Online Training Seminar for Educators by EUIPO – Intellectual Property & Artificial Intelligence

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) is organizing an online seminar on September 26, 2024, from 10:00 to 13:00 CET, aimed at training educators on topics related to Intellectual Property (IP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The seminar will cover fundamental knowledge about Intellectual Property, as outlined in the relevant European Union framework. Additionally, it will introduce the basic principles of AI, its application in the field of education, and the responsible use of AI in the learning environment.

Interactive activities and materials related to AI, developed by EUIPO, will be presented, including an interactive quiz and practical examples of AI tools to enhance teaching methods.

The seminar is free of charge and will provide a certificate of attendance upon completion.

The online seminar is intended for active educators in primary, secondary and higher education, with the following goals:

  • Understanding the basic principles of AI and its applications in the field of education.
  • Practical examples of AI tools to enhance teaching methods and student engagement.
  • Exploring the ethical implications and Intellectual Property Rights associated with the use of AI in classrooms.
  • Best practices for ensuring the legal and ethical use of AI in creating educational content.
