1. General terms of use

The present website www.copyrightschool.gr (hereafter the “Website”) belongs to the Legal Entity under Private Law with the name “Hellenic Copyright Organization” located in Athens, 5 Metsovou street (hereafter “HCO”) and aims to present the ‘Greek Copyright School’ program to the general public via the Internet, which includes a series of actions aimed at informing and raising awareness among teachers, pupils and young people in general about the importance of copyright protection.

The use of the Website implies the unconditional acceptance of the following terms of use, which apply to all content, graphics, images, photographs and files included on the Website. Therefore, the visitor/user of the Website must read carefully these terms when using the HCO Website. In case the visitor/user does not agree, then he/she should stop visiting the Website and not use its content.

The HCO undertakes only the obligation to make every possible effort, regarding the accuracy of the information, which is made available to the visitors of its website www.copyrightschool.gr. However, the HCO cannot guarantee that the pages, services, options and contents will be provided uninterrupted and error-free, or that errors will be corrected promptly, and is not responsible for any errors or omissions therein, or for results that may arise by using them. Also, the HCO does not guarantee that it or any other website or the servers, through which they are made available to visitors/users, are provided without “viruses” or other harmful programs, however it makes every effort, using the available methods to ensure safe use of the Website.

Any hyperlinks of the Website (in order to facilitate the contact of visitors/users of the HCO pages with those responsible for providing additional information as the case may be) may lead users to websites of other servers, which are not controlled by the HCO. Therefore, the HCO bears no responsibility for the content of the above websites and for any possible damage resulting from their use. For any problem that occurs when visiting/using these sites and pages, contact should be made directly with the respective websites and pages and their owners, who bear the relevant responsibility. The HCO should under no circumstances be considered to endorse or accept the content or services of the websites and pages to which it refers or to be connected with them in any other way.

The HCO bears no responsibility for any damage that the visitor/user of the Website may suffer from its use. The contents of the Site are provided “as is” without any express or implied warranty. All notification is provided for general information only. If the visitor/user of the webpages intends to make any kind of use of the information provided by the webpages, he must first contact the HCO, which will take the precaution to provide timely and accurate information, at its discretion.

The Website is intended to be operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The HCO reserves the right to decide to suspend or stop access to part or all of the Website, if circumstances beyond its control occur, which make it necessary to suspend or stop access, such as, indicatively, in the event of malfunctions of information systems or telecommunication networks, technical problems or for reasons of regular or emergency maintenance or in other cases of significant exceptional events.

The HCO reserves the right to modify the form and content of the Website, whenever it deems necessary and without prior warning.

The visitor/user of the Website shall use the information and data provided in a manner that is legal and in accordance with good faith and morals. Otherwise, he/she undertakes the responsibility of repairing any damage that may occur to the HCO from their illegal or unfair use. Users are also prohibited from introducing in any way to the Website any malicious software or data that would alter or be likely to alter the appearance and completeness of the data and organization of the Website. In such a case, the HCO reserves the right to take any appropriate legal measure to compensate any damage it may sustained.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

The content of the Website pages (indicatively mentioned graphics, photos, texts) are the intellectual property of the HCO and are protected according to the relevant provisions of Greek law, European law and international treaties. Consequently, none of them may be sold, copied, modified, reproduced, republished, downloaded, transmitted or distributed in any way, in whole or in part. The visitor/user is able to save an individual copy of part of the content of the Website on his/her personal computer, for personal and not public or commercial use and without erasing their indication of origin from the HCO, without being affected by any manner the relevant intellectual property rights.

Other distinctive features, products or services mentioned on the online pages of this Website and bearing the marks of the respective organizations, companies, partners, bodies, associations or publications, are their own copyright / industrial property and these bodies have therefore corresponding rights to protect them.

4. Applicable law and other terms

The above terms and conditions of use of the HCO Website, as well as any amendment, change or alteration thereof, are governed by Greek Law and the law of the European Union and the relevant international treaties.

Any provision of the above terms that becomes contrary to the above sources of law, automatically ceases to be valid and is removed from this one without, in any case, affecting the validity of the other terms. For any difference that may arise from the use of the Website, the Courts of Athens shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
