On Tuesday 18th of January 2022, the HCO visited the 2nd Experimental High School of Athens in response to the invitation of the school teacher Mrs. S. Pashaliori.

During the two hour visit, the lawyer-scientific associate of the HCO, Mrs. Maria G. Sinanidou, talked to the students of the third grade about the work of the HCO, the importance of copyright protection as well as the avoidance of actions that infringe copyright with an emphasis on the digital environment.

The European Commission presented the CulturEU Funding Guide and web tool for funding opportunities for the cultural and creative sectors in European Union programs 2021-2027.

Stakeholders can automatically filter relevant funding opportunities based on their needs, their sector and the type of organisation they represent.

The HCO in cooperation with SIgmaLive, the largest media portal in Cyprus and GeInnovation, a Spanish organization, launched RESPECT program which is financed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

The program is titled “Awareness raising campaign on the benefits of protecting IPR by encouraging the use of legal sources online” and it is targeted towards young people aged 15-24.

This is a two year program targeted at young (aged 35 years and under) and promising talent. It is designed to train them in the technical and policy aspects of IP, as well as nurture their ability to take on administrative and leadership roles.

Through this program, participants will be groomed to contribute to the development of the innovation and creative ecosystems of their respective countries and regions, and eventually as the future global leaders of IP. The application process closes on November 19, 2021.

The 4th grade of the 4th Elementary School of Daphne during the school year 2020-2021 implemented the educational program of the Hellenic Copyright Organization "Copyright and Related Rights". The program was implemented on the initiative of the class theatrilogist Mrs. Artemis Apostolopoulou and with the collaboration of the class teacher Mrs. Nasia Papaeleftheriou and the class integration teacher Mrs. Vasiliki Smyrnioti.

On Friday 14th of April and Saturday 15th of April the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) of Athens is organizing a web conference with the title “Current issues of Intellectual property.

On April 26, the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) celebrates World Intellectual Property Day.

This day has been designated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) with the aim of emphasizing the role of intellectual property in everyday life.

On Monday 26th of April, on occasion of the celebration of the World Intellectual Property Day, the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Thessaloniki paid an online visit to the offices of the HCO. The visit took place in the framework of the ELSA action "Lawyers @ t Work".

On 23rd January the Hellenic Copyright Organization participated in the two-day webinar co-organized by the European School Radio and the 4th Regional Educational Planning Centre (PEKES) of Attica. The webinar was titled “Web Students’ Radio in Digital Education” and was addressed to educators of all levels in Greece and Cyprus.
