Educational webinar for the PEKES of Crete

On Thursday, the 14th of May 2020 the Hellenic Copyright Organization participated in a webinar coorganized with the Regional Educational Planning Centre (PEKES) of Crete. The HCOs presentation was titled “Copyright and Related Rights in Distance Education”.

The educators who attended the seminar were informed by Ms Eva Moustaka, Jurist of the HCO, about copyright issues, the application of copyright in distance education and were also presented with sources of legal online content.

The seminar was organized in the framework of the implementation of the EU funded programme titled “Educating youngsters and secondary school teachers about copyright in Greece and Cyprus”. The programme is transnational and is funded by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

In the webinar there were present Mr. Em. Kartsonakis, Regional Director for Education in Crete, the Coordinators of Educational Work of the Primary and Secondary Education of the PEKES, the Directors of the Primary and Secondary Education of Crete as well as the Heads of the Centres of Educational and Advisory Support (KESI) of Crete.

In total 67 educators attended the seminar.
